Today, we offer a wide range of high-quality, fresh cream cheese preparations and plant-based cream cheese alternatives for the self-service sector under our Petrella brand. The secret of our success: fresh ingredients
The secret of our success is the unique, daily fresh and hand-picked ingredients that are processed in our in-house “vegetable kitchen”. Every day, our long-standing suppliers deliver fresh ingredients to us before sunrise. The fresh herbs and vegetables are then washed, cut and prepared for further processing in our “vegetable kitchen” with a lot of manual work and passion. The cold store in our company's vegetable department contains large quantities of crisp, fresh and healthy ingredients such as red peppers, chives, parsley, leeks and spring onions. Many of the steps involved in processing the fresh herbs and other fresh products are carried out lovingly by hand by our employees to ensure that only the best ingredients go into our fresh cheese.
Tradition meets innovation in cream cheese production
In addition to the fresh ingredients, our fresh cow's milk is a key component of our Petrella fresh cheese. This is delivered to our in-house dairy around the clock. In addition to ultra-modern, computer-aided systems, we place particular emphasis on traditional production methods when processing milk and making fresh cheese. While the whey drips out of the cloths, the creamy fresh cheese mass remains in the linen cloth and is then removed from the cloths by our employees. This traditional method of cream cheese production is the key to the unique and unmistakable creaminess of our Petrella.
New in the range: Petrella Vegan
With the rise of food trends and an increasing awareness of vegan and vegetarian diets, we introduced a new line in 2023: Petrella Vegan. This product line expands our range within the company and is the answer to the growing demand for vegan and lactose-free alternatives. It offers the usual indulgence in three different flavors: fresh chives, fresh garlic & herbs and peppasweet. Made from coconut oil and almond protein, these products offer the same quality and freshness that our customers have come to expect from Petrella.
